Beale's Got A Point

from Angry, Young and Bored [EP] by Blayne Flint

/

lyrics

It’s bright outside, yet it’s cold in here.
I’ve got things to do. I’d rather drown in beer.
No sense of urgency, despite a load of fear.
I think I’m giving in, I could disappear.

I’m fine alone, but blank you, I won’t.

I’m not a joyless boy; I’m just a mould of wonder.
I dream on Parton’s time and then I get snowed under-
Stuff designed to cause me stress and I couldn’t care less. I’m at my weakest.
I could do better, but it’s such a chore.

I will achieve. I’ll live my dreams.

And I’ve decided that I’m going to have to pick up my feet.
There’s no point running if you think you’re going to end up cut deep.
And I’ve been trying to say, but couldn’t think of a way.
Until now:

I am better than this. My life is not meaningless.
And I’m madder than can be. I’m just a human being.

We are better than this. Our lives are not meaningless.
And we’re madder than can be. We are just human beings.
